Veil differences

I'm trying to find out what the difference is between a chapel length veil and a cathedral length veil, because to me that sounds like the same thing. Is there really a difference? -Silvie

Something blue

I'm a bride who wants a traditional white wedding, but since "something blue" is part of a tradition I also want to have in my wedding. What can I include in my wedding that would be subtle? -Dianna

Navy wedding

My fiancee is in the Navy and I'm not sure if a military wedding is for us or not. It keeps coming back into mind because of its cost effectiveness, but I'm not sure if I want all of the military protocol as part of my wedding day. Ideas? -Ashley

Deployed

I'm a bride who just found out that my fiancee will soon be deployed over seas. We aren't sure how long he will be there but now know that a definite date is out the window unless its within the next two months. How can I get a wedding together in a short notice? -Courtney

Stretching money

My family is volunteering to pay for half of the wedding and my fiancees family is paying for the other half. I know that this is a very generous gift so I want to be as mindful as possible of their budget and even try to stay under budget if possible. If you can give me some tips I'd appreciate it! -Alexa

Second time bride

My first marriage didn't work out and left me a little worried about this second marriage. I love my fiance and am happy to be his wife but I can't help worrying about the future. Any advice to calm my mind? -Emily

Dropping sizes

I want to be at least two dress sizes smaller before my wedding day. I know that affects my gown and I haven't purchased it yet. Should I get it two sizes smaller already or should I get a bigger size? -Rachael

Not set on planning

I'm thrilled to be engaged to my fiance but I'm not so keen on the idea of planning. I don't care for the thought of seating arrangements, picking linens, or anything of that sort. Don't get me wrong I'm looking forward to walking down the aisle, I'm just scared of the stress that comes along with the engagement. -Lindsay

Saving money

I'm a student bride and just got engaged! I know that the usual amount of time that couples are engaged is a year. I won't be finished with grad school for another two years. I can't decide on being married within that year or sticking it out until I'm done with school. Should I wait? -Marissa

Toning

I want to slim down for my wedding day but am not sure where to even begin. Any tips? Thanks! Miranda

I'm a constant sufferer of allergies and am concerned that I'll be a puffy sneezy mess if I choose flowers for my wedding. Are there any substitues for flowers or at least a few flowers that aren't so allergy prone? -Hillary

Dress shopping

I'm going dress shopping with my bridesmaids for their gowns. How many people should I bring at a time without it being too many people to handle? -Libby

When should I have my hair done?

I want to try out a new hair style but it's getting close to my wedding. Is it better to keep to the same or try something new?-Eliza

Releasing Birds

I am a bride who would like to release birds during the wedding ceremony. I just wanted to ask if there were certain types of birds that are used only for a release and if there are any laws or concerns I should know about?  -Amber

Student worries

I am a student bride on a budget. My fiance and I are concerned we won't be able to have a decent wedding without spending more than we can afford. Do you have any tips on how to stretch a dollar? Thanks!! Colleen

Marrying First, Then Celebrating With a Ceremony Later

My fiance has received an offer to join the foreign service. We will have time to plan and host our wedding before being posted overseas but may need to get a marriage license a month or two before the actual event. Being legally married will allow me to participate in the planning and training process for the foreign service and will make everything much easier for both of us. In this case, would it be necessary to term the event as a vow renewal or does the proximity of the legal marriage to the celebration allow it to be treated like a traditional wedding? -Paige
