Ohio Reformatory Stylized Shoot

A Haunted Wedding

November 6, 2019

In the spirit of Halloween (no pun intended), we thought it would be fun to showcase a stylized shoot that was shot at the Ohio State Reformatory. The prison was built in 1834 and was closed in 1990 after a court order deemed it inhumane. It was featured in the 1994 movie “The Shawshank Redemption” and is open to tourists today.

Forevermore Weddings decided to shine a little light on a dark place with their version of a monster fairy tale. Even a monster deserves love! Their vision tells the story of a “normal” man who loves a female “monster” regardless of her darkness. Finding her encourages him to find his true self symbolized by him putting on his mask to match her. Building their own happily ever after.

Look thru some of the special touches that showcase this spooky venue. Happy Halloween!
